BIOGRAPHY
Corn Nut Creek are storytellers with moving songs that weave traditions of Appalachian music with a unique chamber-folk style. With lush harmonies, intricate clawhammer banjo playing and a lilting fiddle, their songs capture the significance of sisterhood as well as deep connections with the natural world. From New York and Melbourne, the duo met in Hong Kong over ten years ago and became inseparable spirit sisters in friendship and song. They were nominated for two Australian Folk Music Awards in 2024 for their most recent album ‘Hearts in Bloom’. The album sat in the top ten Australian Metro AMRAP Charts for two consecutive weeks, landed a place as a semifinalist in the Unsigned Only Music Competition (US) and was featured in both Country Queer (US) and The Alternate Root (US) publications. Corn Nut Creek are currently working on a new album, expected to release in early 2026.
